Witty Plates uses Umami, a self-hosted, privacy-focused analytics tool, to understand how the site is used. Umami does not use cookies, does not collect or store personal data, and does not track you across other websites.

What we collect

Standard, anonymous page-view data (page visited, referrer, browser, device type, and country)
Which feature you used (vanity, souvenir, or decode) and which state you selected
Which technique a saved or copied plate used (e.g. phonetic, leet-speak, abbreviation)
Whether an action succeeded or produced an error, to help us fix bugs

What we don't collect

We never send the phrase you type, the plate text you generate or decode, or any other personal information to our analytics. Nothing is shared with third parties or used for advertising.
